5 Ways to Sniff Out Online Scams

By admin On July 10, 2008 4 Comments

Scams are everywhere like a psychopath stalking you in the middle of the night waiting for you to unluckily cross his way and hit you hard or suck the very last breath of life out of you. Same goes with the online world and you’re no safer for they are definitely out there, waiting, hiding, sneaking. However, while they are still waiting for you to fall for their booby trap, you can either resort to two things. One, do nothing about it and just pray hard you won’t become a victim, sorta wishful thinking type of approach. Or two, continue reading this article and learn ways on how you can sense these fake bastards even at a distance. That way, you can protect your work from home from being jeopardized.

Why y’all so pushy?
“This offer is for a limited time only.” Oh, please. Isn’t this a classic? It has been a marketing strategy for ages to somewhat urge and rush people to buy or give in to these so-called once-in-a-lifetime offers and, in most cases, it works. This has been adopted by scammers to feast on the principle of grabbing opportunities for they may not pass by again. Although some of these offers are legit and a number of trusted companies actually use these, we really just can’t help to keep our guards up. Solution? Do not immediately give in to these promotions. Know more about it. Start digging deeper. Try to uncover some dark, hidden secrets if there are any. Search for remarks of people who have tried it. Then decide if it’s worth taking the risks.

I must be lucky (or unlucky).
There is also this one crack on limited slots being offered and you have that very last chance to get it. You must be so lucky. Or not. Wow! Of all the billions of human beings that walk the face of this planet, you were one of the chosen few. Seriously. I wonder if they really spend some time singling out a handful of people from this world’s population. Or they just send the message out to everyone and hope someone gullible enough will bite.

First cash, first served. Wait, what?
Hell, you know the situation. They say they would give you tips or lessons or methods to earn huge sum of money online and be successful in your work from home. That it’s so simple, fast and easy, all you need to do is sign up and pay a ridiculous amount for registration or membership fee and you can get all these. And once you did, you find yourself receiving a lot of crap and something that’s actually offered free on the Internet. Damn!

Won a lottery? I don’t think so.
Everybody dreams of waking up someday and become an instant millionaire. That they don’t have to stretch a single muscle to earn and make a living. This is another classic of online scams – the overnight success. And since a lot of people are either lazy or naive or both, they become favorite targets. Success in work from home requires hard work and patience and just don’t come in seconds or minutes like winning in a lottery. That doesn’t work like that. If it does, then we’re all freaking and filthy rich right now.

Skeptic critic is a basic.
Skepticism will always be a part of any business because whenever there’s business, there will always be monkey business that comes along with it. So anything that it’s too good to be true deserves a skeptic eye. You can’t be too careful nowadays. It’s hard to trust immediately in this modern world where crazy people are doing crazy things for crazy reasons. It’s alright to be doubtful and questioning, just not too much. There’s a thin line between being skeptic and being pessimistic.

Your work from home is prone to these scams all the time but if you are backed up with appropriate knowledge and skills, you will less likely bumped into these Internet hazards and if you did, chances of you getting out unscratched is paramount.

Why Online Business Is A Buzz

By admin On July 10, 2008 4 Comments

Since the dawn of Internet, a lot of things quite impossible before have become a reality and part of people’s lifestyle. From electronic mails to chat rooms to online gaming to forums to blogs, we could almost say that the Internet is one of the major breakthroughs of technology. It has opened the door to several opportunities. One of which is the realization of online businesses and home-based careers. Unlike regular jobs, work from home is much more flexible and freer but still demands a lot of hard work and determination in order to prosper. You may wonder what makes the online money-making industry click and why is it so huge in the web today. There are several explanations but the common reasons why more and more people are turning towards making money online are as follows:

Information overload. You can almost find anything you want to search for in the Internet and since the online business is a pretty wide scope, you really can’t rely on books or magazines alone. With the advent of the world wide web, you can gain significant information about making money online and all the details on work from home through e-mails, e-books, websites, articles, forum discussions, blogs, online tutorials, audio and video clips, online news, instructional materials, social networks, chat rooms and a whole lot more ways to retrieve and, at the same time, disseminate information.

Unlimited tools and resources. Just like information, there are seemingly endless number of tools and resources in the Net such as developed software and programs, free or with charge. These said tools are huge help in your work from home.

World domination. The Internet can be accessed by anyone, anywhere and anytime. Just think about that. Target customers from all over the world are within your reach. Say you have a toy store in your locality. Your potential buyers would be limited to your area and the surrounding towns. However, if you decided to launch it online, you’ll get streams of international response. More customers, more profits. This won’t be possible if not for the Internet.

Working plus Networking. Doing work from home lets you enjoy the best of both worlds. You not only create connections and know a wide diversity of people, you also get to do business with them or promote that business and spread the word through interacting with them. You can exchange private messages with each other whether it is business-related or not. Collect online friends, meet experts in your field and witness real success stories on making money online that you can learn from.

Online businesses and work from home proved to be hit and has come a long way. And judging from its current status right now, it’s safe to say that it will be here for quite some time.

5 Roads to Success in Driving Traffic to Your Site

By admin On July 7, 2008 9 Comments

With all the gas prices hitting the peak of the summit nowadays, you could just imagine how important it is to drive large amount of traffic to your site so you can convert them to potential buyers. More buyers, more profits. With more profits, the current oil price hike and other manifestations of economic crisis will less likely be of a burden.

Shut Up And Drive: Less Talk, More Writings

Put those words and thoughts on paper and give that article marketing a spin. Write! Write! Write! Post! Submit! If you usually finish the week with, say, 50 articles. Next week, try to make it 52. Add two or three more per week if you can. Increasing the number of articles may increase the amount of traffic to your site. And who knows? It may speed up the traffic too.

First: Be The One On Top

Your site may not exist in the eyes of top search engines and may not have been yet indexed by their robots or crawlers or spiders, whatever you may call them. Then, what are you waiting for? Don’t be a work from home slowpoke. Go and submit your site to the popular search engines today. Your ultimate goal for your website is to appear on the first listings whenever a person searches for it (or anything related to it) in these search engines. If possible, you should aim to be the first on the list. The Internet has various resources and tools that may help you boost your search engine placement. They’re just a research away if you need them.

Fast Car: Speed Up The Traffic

Never ever underestimate the power of social bookmarking and networking. These are just few of the things that makes your work from home easy to bare. You hunt for traffic and, at the same time, you can update your accounts and check out on people you know of. Bookmarking your sites and featuring them in your social networks can drive some traffic you never knew were there. It’s one of the most fun ways of reaching out and gaining tremendous amount of exposure.

Overdrive: Getting Some More

Blogging and blog commenting goes hand in hand in getting that extra traffic that you dearly need and crave for. However, extra results require extra effort. After posting quality articles to your blog, you have to crawl out related web logs and leave intelligent and useful comments along with your source link. More blog posts and more comments means more chances for traffic to flow. But wait! There’s even more. It’s also time to join the forums, discussions and boards. Almost the same mechanics with blogs, you exchange information, updates and smart answers to inquiries while dropping your precious signatures as links to your equally precious site. Your blog and forum participation may make or break your work from home.

One Step At A Time: Just Spread The Word

When it comes to word-of-mouth marketing, some people are just skeptic. But the truth is this type of marketing is also an effective technique to level-up traffic if done properly. It is simply telling your friends or anyone you know of about your business or site and hope that they pass it on to others. There are different ways for people to spread the word like talks, chats, meetings, referrals, emails, etc. That alone gives us an idea how powerful and influential word-of-mouth marketing is. The not-so-good thing about it is you just can’t guarantee yourself with excellent results since you have no control whatsoever with how people spread the word and if they actually would refer you and if they did, what are the odds that the people they referred you to would actually check your site out or refer you to others.

Work From Home Metamorphosis

By admin On July 1, 2008 3 Comments

Internet marketing dwells with the fact that everything changes, everything evolves, everything transforms. It teaches us that we will be in different levels as long as we have what it takes to achieve and deserve that level. Metamorphosis is no easy process. Nonetheless, one will have to go through it one way or the other if he wants to be victorious in the end.

Exeggcute

Just like laying eggs and waiting for them to hatch, work from home proved to be very crucial even on its first few stages. Imagine investing your time and effort and, in some instances, money on a seemingly risky endeavor. And watching it every now and then, doing all the things to keep it safe or shall we say, stable. Consider article marketing, the few articles that you’re writing are like eggs being laid and can only be hatched when someone reads it and actually clicks on the link to your site.

Caterpie

Similar to the ugly, creepy and always hungry larva, work from home can be rough and exhausting when you’re at a phase that you could say you’re already moving, rolling on and that you need to keep going, no stopping. You never stop grabbing chances to get huge traffic and eventually convert them to buyers and customers. You could turn out green by just doing a lot of article marketing, article writing, article directory submissions, web directory submissions, search engine indexing, CPC and PPC advertising, blogging, social bookmarking, social networking, blog commenting, forum posting, e-mail marketing, writing e-books, doing link exchanges or joint ventures, etc. If these tasks were leaves, then the larva in you won’t be that merciful as it will eat everything on its way just to be successful in his work from home.

Metapod

If you’ve done pretty much everything for your work from home and Internet marketing career and you’ve done it right, then there’s no need for a rush whatsoever. You’ll find that days off and away from your business won’t really hurt since it has grown enough to somehow stand on its own in quite some time. And you can just stay there watching it to grow even more like a cocoon. But of course, updating it regularly should still be one of your priorities. The point here is even without doing much of all the marketing stuff like before, you can still see positive results most importantly, financially, coming in.

Butterfree

This is where all efforts, the hard work, the time spent, the bumps along the way, truly paid off. Incomes tend to soar with flying colors as you could already see the beauty of what you’ve done. And then you tell yourself, “It’s all worth it.”

Not everyone reaches the part where success spreads its colorful wings to bring much delight to work from home. Sometimes, they have no choice but to go back to square one and hope one day, they would hit the right spot. That’s the world of online business, a game, a risk. But its’ worth playing. It’s worth taking.
