Article Writing Tips: It’s Too Much
Article writing has been part of work from home ever since. Rarely can you find an online marketer who has not done article writing or has not involved himself in article marketing ever. Various article writing tips, tricks, ideas and strategies published online and asked everywhere are proof to how universal article writing is in this industry.
You would think that because it’s almost a general task for everybody, that article writing is done by Internet marketers with such accuracy, correctness and mastery. Yet, a lot of folks out there still manage to screw up when it comes to writing their articles.
The following tips focus on how things get too much with your article writing and how to avoid those mistakes:
Too Much On The Resource Box
Your article writing efforts will not be complete without the author or resource box. It is through this box that you are allowed to take something from your readers after giving away or sharing with your article. However, be careful in using this box because what you put in there may either make or break you. Some people place too much website links and sales pitches that it’s almost abuse in one’s eyes. Keep in mind that the most number of URLs you can include in your resource box is a maximum of two or three. Also, a brief and catchy sales pitch is what’s being recommended, not something that’s half the size of the whole article.
Too Much On The Topic Or Content
Some folks tend to create articles that are too broad or too general in topic. This might turn out to be too much for the readers since numerous articles out there are already too broad to start with. The online public needs articles that tackle specific issues. If your write-ups are able to narrow each topic down to its very core, that would be a huge plus for you and your work from home.
Too Much On The Grammar Department
Although with the birth of spell checkers and proofreaders nowadays, there are still stuff that goes public online with errors on spelling, grammar, sentence construction, paragraph distribution, etc. If that seldom happens, that would be understandable. But what’s not acceptable if there are too many grammatical errors in every article you write. That’s just simply lazy writing and there’s no room for that in any work from home.
Too Much Hype And Promotion On The Article Body
Reserve your sales pitch and promotional spiels on the resource box and avoid selling yourself in the article body. You are supposed to be giving information and sharing ideas that can be very useful to the online community, not boasting about yourself and your achievements. If you include some self-promotion in your content, chances are you will lose credibility pretty quick with your readers that they don’t even get to the point of reading your resource box and clicking on any of your links there. That just defies the whole purpose of article writing.
