Commenting On Blogs To Lure In Some Site Traffic
One of the effective ways to drive some traffic to your website is through blog commenting. When you read a certain blog post and wanted to add your opinion or if you want to clarify something or maybe start a discussion between you and the blog author and others, what you do is leave a comment. This feature is enabled in most blogs so that readers can share a little piece of what they thought about that particular blog post they just read.
Most blogs will allow those readers to leave their names, e-mail addresses and URL of their site together with their comments. That alone will help you with the marketing efforts in your work from home just by leaving a link to your site. The next important thing you have to do is to make sure people will have some reason to click on that link. You can do that by being professional and helpful with your comments.
But before you start commenting on blogs, you should be able to find one first and more, of course. Keep in mind to choose those blogs related to your work from home or within the scope of your niche. Say, if your online business is all about selling toys, it won’t be a wise move to post comments on blogs about career, parenting and home improvement. You may get site traffic from those but there’s little chance they will convert or buy from you.
Choosing the right blogs will give you the chance to drive quality traffic to your website or sales page. How about starting with five blogs? Then after a week, research and find another five that you can visit and leave comments on from time to time. Do that again after a week and you will have 15 blogs to check out every now and then, that wouldn’t be so bad.
Your blog commenting will be very much effective if you also go for blogs that rank well in search engines, Alexa and others. That will help you not only in getting site traffic but in your SEO efforts as well. But perhaps the biggest responsibility is not finding the most appropriate and well-ranked blogs but it’s the comments that one posts in that blog.
Spamming is one thing that’s not accepted in most blogs. “I agree” and “I don’t think so” can be both counted as spam messages because they don’t really contribute much to the whole blog post. It is really recommended to leave useful and meaningful comments and try to avoid posting inappropriate ones. Remember that your comments reflect you as a person and your work from home. People will click through your link once they see how professional and knowledgeable you are and how they can trust you.
This blog commenting task shouldn’t be just for luring in site traffic. It should also be for your work from home and how you represent that job in your comments. It’s not just a tool for getting and building as many links as possible. It should be a tool to promote your online business in a more interesting way as well.
