Free Work From Home: Is It Worth It?

By admin On April 3, 2009 Under Work From Home

When you come across opportunities to work from home, the next thing you do is to make sure it’s legitimate, not a scam of some sort. Most scams online require you to pay a fee or something before signing up or before getting something like a newsletter or report. Eventually, people start to doubt whenever a potential job from home includes dishing out money before anything has even begun. So does this mean that free work from home opportunities are the ideal ones for us? Not much.

The words “free work from home” can really get some attention from the public. It feels as if it’s really an opportunity that you shouldn’t miss. But what’s the real score about this? Are these so-called free jobs worth it? Are they really free? Are all these just Internet hype?

Before finding the answers to those questions, let’s first take into consideration the fact that some, if not most, of the sites that post such statements like, “free work from home opportunities” are actually getting paid automatically by clicks of people on either of those “free work from home” links or ads found online. So even if you’re just thinking about trying this opportunity and if you’re just exploring the site or the links, clicking this and that, the people behind that site or ad are already earning quite a sum of money. Though they may not get the cash directly from you, your participation, small or huge, have given them some earnings. The lesson here is to be less click-happy and to always remember that these free work from home sites may not take money exactly from your pockets but they can always use you for their advantage if you’re not careful enough.

However, what I mentioned above doesn’t necessarily tell us if trying these free online jobs are worth it. There are only two things to look at in this issue. One. Can these free work from home replace the current income you are earning in your offline job? Two. Can they truly help you make money online more than what your offline job gives? If the answer to both questions is a solid no, then these free opportunities are not worth your time and your skills. You would want something that can last for long and would be able to match up or exceed your current pay, right?

Most people believe that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Free work from home may be free of charge but can you afford to spend all your time and effort for such a small pay? I guess not. Well, it looks like free opportunities aren’t exactly free after all.
