Learning How To Balance Driving Traffic And Maintaining Site Content
If you think that work from home is a piece of cake, then you must be out of your mind. Sure, it’s a lot better and easier than other offline jobs out there but it requires some level of hard work as well. So when you hear or see some stuff online claiming that they can make you rich overnight, ignore completely. You know better now that Internet marketing is one hell of a multitasking job to begin with. Take for example having a website of your own. That site can require many things from you but the two most important things you have to do is to drive traffic to it and maintain its content.
Those two may seem to be an easy job but juggling both is actually very challenging. You may be well aware that maintaining site content and driving traffic to it are pretty much significant and you can’t just choose one over the other. If you focus only on improving the content of your website without exerting much effort in finding some traffic or people to see it, it will be quite useless. It’s like trying your best to decorate and make your store as wonderful as possible but forgot to tell a single soul about your opening date. Similarly, if you focus solely on getting huge amounts of traffic to your site without providing fresh and interesting content, no one will stay long enough to check it out. That will make your effort useless as well.
What you need is to come up with a pretty good schedule to follow, one that will allow you to balance those two important tasks involving your site. For example, if traffic is usually high on Mondays and Wednesdays, then on those days, you can focus on driving traffic to your site and doing all kinds of marketing campaigns in your work from home. For the rest of the week, you can direct your attention towards adding more current, unique and relevant content in your site. If you still have more time, you can improve the look of the site by tweaking its design and the like.
Another great suggestion is to hire someone to do one of the jobs for you. For instance, you can employ a
writer and web developer to update both your site and its content while you do the link building and marketing tasks or driving traffic to that site of yours. If it happens that you would rather maintain the site content yourself than searching for traffic and customers, then by all means let someone else do the latter and just pay them for their services later on.
The problem though is if the Internet marketer him/herself don’t have the time to do both tasks. This is understandable since most folks who work from home attend to other necessary things aside from this. Of course, they can always hire people to continue and finish their job which is both maintaining site content and driving traffic to it, but don’t you think it’s better if they do it themselves so that they can learn from the task first-hand?
