On the other hand, we have another effective strategy, which is down-selling.
Down-selling is when you propose to your consumers a cheaper alternative to the product that they are planning to buy. You may wonder why there is a need for down-selling. Well, it’s basically done to avoid no-sale. Most Internet marketers use this approach. When someone tries to leave their site without buying anything and as soon as that person clicks the ‘Close Window’ button, he or she will be redirected to a certain web page. On that page lies a special offer selling the product at a discount rate. That’s an example of down-selling. But that special offer must be done in limited days only.
