The Work From Home Insider: No-no’s For Newbies

By admin On September 22, 2008 Under Work From Home, Work From Home People

It’s hard to imagine yet not all of us have the slightest idea about work from home and the reality of online business. If everyone knows about work from home, the term “newbie” would’ve not invented at all. From time to time, a certain number of newbies are born and they brought along a lot of questions in mind. And eventually, they learn things from Internet marketing. Sometimes, they learn it the hard way. So, instead of waiting for the newbies to crash through the wall for some time in their course of finding ways to make money online, we can offer a little help by giving them a few “no-no’s” or “don’ts” beforehand.

The first no would be for the idea that work from home is so much like an online lottery. You just need to wait for your luck and win the biggest prizes and dance in glee and with all the joy. Uhm, well, good luck for that. Work from home is no game of chance but is a matter of choice and a matter of action. You have to do something if you want to achieve something. Relying purely on luck will not help. This is the most common misunderstanding of most newbies. They heard about Internet marketing and work from home. They hear great things about it. That it’s just easy, the money will just pour in and all that rubbish and they tend to believe that. In life, there’s no free lunch. You have to work hard to eat. You have to stretch some muscles to live. You have to give in order to take. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be ready for the real meaning of work from home.

The next no is for the idea of overnight success or instant cash through work from home. It’s okay if they say you can earn money easier and faster compared to your previous 9-5 job and in just a couple of months or so, you can gain a fair amount of profit. But if they say that if you sign up for this or click this or purchase this or download this or follow this and you will be a millionaire in a matter of minutes, then that’s got to smell fishy. Yes, a really rotten fish. More like a really rotten scam for me. Most newbies fall for this. It’s helpful to develop a keen eye on scammers especially if you are new to work from home.

The last no is for the idea of having to spend this much or that much just to start on your work from home. In Internet marketing, you have the option to spend some amount of money in order to start with your online business. But if you start from scratch and you have zero cash, no one said that you can’t kick it off with your work from home. Most newbies have nothing in their hands when they turn to Internet marketing seeking for greater opportunities. And they made it just fine using free tools and resources. But if you can afford to dish out some extra dollars for your work from home, that’ll be just fine as well. Still, beware of those scams that persuade you to pay for this membership fee or download this e-book for this particular amount. You might realize that once you gave them your money, most of the time, what they give you back is just crap and if the details or information they give you is not crap. You’d likely to discover those things can be found on the Internet for free. Then you start to imagine your dollars flying up, up and away and never coming back. So be very careful.

These “no-no’s” for newbies will give them the chance and the idea to think first before jumping into something. We all know that even though work from home and online businesses offer tremendous opportunities for success, they can also offer you huge threats and failures if you don’t know what you are doing. Better to be ready than sorry.
