Use Long Tail Keywords in your Article Writing

When you’re doing article writing and search engine optimization side by side for your work from home, the most important thing you should take note is keywords. These words or phrases that people use to search for something online are fundamental in making your work from home a success. Placing the right keywords in your article content may land you a spot on top of the search engine results if you do it properly. By doing so, you’ll be quickly visible to your prospects and who knows how much traffic will come your way after that. That is why a lot of strategic methods for both article writing and search engine optimization are being discovered and learned by many Internet marketers and folks who work from home. One approach, for example, is using long tail keywords in your article writing.

Long tail keywords are keywords for a specific topic or issue and are usually longer. They target quite a smaller niche compared to that of short tail, generic keywords. But why use long tail keywords in your article writing? First reason is because you are going to have higher chances of success in terms of your efforts in SEO. You may be able to slowly creep your way up to the top lists of search engine results. This is due to the fact that long tail keywords cater to smaller groups with such specific online inquiries or searches leaving you with a relatively smaller competition compared to those general ones. Imagine how huge your competition is with such short tail keywords like “cooking tips”, “reading lessons”, and “celebrity photos”. Whereas with “cooking tips for dads staying at home”, “reading lessons for kids age six to seven”, and “celebrity photos wearing red-colored dresses or outfits,” the number of articles online, information sites or blogs containing the latter keywords are way lesser. Thus, little competition exists there.

Another thing why it’s quite effective to use long tail keywords in your article writing is because the traffic you’ll be receiving from those keywords is more targeted unlike if you use broad terms. That’slong tail keywords, long tail keywords in your article writing, article writing understandable since that traffic is looking for a specific item and that could work miracles in two ways. One, if you’re lucky to provide them with that particular item or information, you gain their trust. However, don’t expect your site to end up on top of the search engine rankings so quick. It will take some time and a lot of hard work from you. What you need to do is focus more on effectively placing those long tail keywords to your site or web page. They should appear on the page a few times. Say, one for the page title since it is what search engine bots and spiders check out first. You can also put one on the H1 tag but most importantly, more on the content of the page. Remember what you know about keyword density.

Using long tail keywords in your article writing is a smart choice but it will only pay off if you do your part right. So start writing articles now and keep your work from home straight to the path of your goals.
