Work From Home Guide: Comparing Text Links And Image Links
When you work from home or involve yourself in Internet marketing, you should brace yourself for the varying details that you will encounter from the start of your online career and as you go on. Working online means subjecting yourself for the daily learning process of your job. For instance, keyword optimization of your articles and web page content alone may yield significant details for you to learn and understand. Same is true with your marketing plans and campaign and other things in your business or work from home.
Even the so-called minor details such as the comparison of text and image links are being greatly considered or argued upon. Questions like: which type of links to use? Which is better than the other in terms of link building or traffic generation? Which of the two can contribute more to the success of my work from home or website?, these are the inquiries that an individual is likely to ask when choosing between text links and image links.
Before you go on and answer those questions, you should be able to really understand what text and image links are. In link building, you are being presented with two options on how t link one Web page to the other. When you say text links, you are using one or more words that are somehow ‘clickable’ and if you click those words, you will be redirected to another site or web page. On the other hand, when you say image links, you are using a certain picture or graphic that can be clicked on in order for you to get to the other location online.
A lot of Internet marketers and website owners have been using either or both of these links throughout the years. As time goes by, a lot of curious questions have been raised, one of which is regarding the value of the two links when it comes to search engine optimization. Several folks who work from home would like to know the difference between the two? Which is better? Which one to use?
In terms of link building or SEO, many believe that text links are better than just image links. Some explain that when you use image links, you lose the powerful value of the words, or more specifically, keywords. It’s also no surprise that text links have more weight than image links when it comes to search engine spiders crawling your sites. You have to remember that these bots don’t understand graphic or images and only the text.
What’s great about text links is that you have the opportunity to add keywords that you need for the content of your site and for your work from home as a whole. Although you can put your desired keywords in the alt tag of your image, that doesn’t seem to be enough since, as mentioned earlier, text links are being given more weight and importance by most search engines out there.
However, this doesn’t necessarily follow that image links are useless and can’t help you anymore. You may use both actually but you know very well which one to prioritize. Text links have quite an advantage over image links.
