here is a no-sale. When a customer tries to leave the site, offer him/her a discount or cut down the price into half. That’s what some Internet marketers and folks who work from home do.
Cross selling, on the other hand, is offering related items or products to the customers as an additional purchase. The most common example would be: when someone buys a desktop computer or a laptop even, you can suggest to him/her to purchase a printer or scanner too. Other related items that you can offer are external hard drives, memory sticks and a web cam. Basically, that’s how the cross selling strategy works.
